Yup, we talked about that. Not sure what they're going to do but we definitely emphasized a lot of housing requests, including more building block-style items and a higher item cap.

Working ladders in houses would be awesome too.

Re Housing...they've given us lots and lots of cool stuff to build and modify real estate. The long boards are great for ramping
and wall building on large scale because they are really really long. We need shorter boards to work with and some different
configurations of stairs to use as well...that can fit in larger and smaller spaces..for access to those build outs we are trying to
create!

Good ideas Lenore but...

In other games they simply gave full dev level tools for housing. No need to create temporary set ups, you can float and move in 3D space to your hearts content. They pretty much already give us dev level design ability with items, give us the ability to go into "DESIGN MODE" without movement and char. restrictions while in housing.

I did see on the PTS (thank you Silent Raven for telling me about this) there are some building block components such as fencing, retaining walls, floors, stairs, etc. I’m not sure it you could build a whole house with those, but it looks like a great start! Hopefully they see people like it and add more stuff like ceilings, roofs, etc.

I finished reading your reddit post and wanted to thank you for taking the time to write it. Lots of reasonably good changes, especially the 2 handed weapons counting as 2 set pieces. I was surprised and happy to see animation cancelling was discussed - did you get the sense they see it as something they want to address/phase out potentially?

Rad, you seem so hung up on this one topic (from 2014-16) as I have seen you bring it up numerous times, lol! I feel its more an issue in your mind then it is in game. I can not find ANY current builds that puts an emphasis on animation canceling. Case in point, any of Alcasts builds...any Vanquish builds etc...love ya though homie, miss ya!

Rotation & Skeleton Parse from Alcast

"Apply Hurricane on cooldown, so when its about to run out. If you reapply Hurricane, I only do 1 Heavy Attack > Shrouded Dagger instead of two times in the rotation.

Endless Hail > Light Attack > Rearming Trap > Light Attack > Poison Injection > Light Attack > Razor Caltrops > Weapon Swap
Heavy Attack > Rending Slashes > Heavy Attack > Shrouded Dagger > Heavy Attack > Shrouded Dagger > Light Attack > Deadly Cloak > Weapon Swap
Restart"

One of our top DPS'rs... Mr Law! No mention of animation canceling... http://vanquishguild.info/forum_threads/2823954 AND another http://vanquishguild.info/forum_threads/2825548

Animation canceling is still a tactic and the BEST of the BEST MAY still use it but it is far from required anymore, sir. That said, weaving in light and heavy attacks at opportune times based on your class and build are still very real and should be! I will let our top DPS chime in however as I may be wrong, its happened a time or few before!

8s in, this is the AC you remember Rad. It still exists on some skills, but not all of them as near the end of the video you can see the actual skill go off vs when I hide my attacks earlier. The old style AC where you could hide a heavy/light attack, a skill all in one with a block cancel doesn't really exist anymore. This is due to when they broke (yes broke) the order of operations, they left it so it basically killed this system.

Weaving (light attack to a skill) is always a thing, but with the resource change they did a while ago it's not as beneficial anymore since you can't cancel heavy's so they register as a heavy and give all those bonues even though it's a medium attack.

It still exists in skills like caltrops, endless hail where you bar swap before waiting for the skill to go off so you can continue, but it's not mandatory anymore with the power creep in the game.

And realistically Rad, no content anymore requires this kind of dps anymore. Not like you remember in the early stages of having like 300 CP and doing the content based around that.

Member the Stamplar jab build? 4 fighter's guild skills on the front bar with jabs? Yeah, that one button pony can smash the requirements of dps for vet dungeons and raids now without ever using your bow bar lol.

To be fair to Rad, animation cancelling mostly stopped being a thing because of the Block bug, which made you get hung up on block when you cast it and prevented you from saving any time by block cancelling. They're fixing that bug, so it will likely be coming back for some builds. Even so, it's still something that happens in certain situations in PvP.

The discussions around it weren't about getting rid of it, it was around making it more consistent and easier to accomplish. We talked about individual skills that have a lot of unnecessary fluff animation to them at the beginning or end of the actual skill's damage or effects going out - Strife for NBs was a good example of this, as the skill has a ton of unnecessary fluff at the beginning of the cast, making it something you'd want to block cancel, or barring that, just cancel with a fast LA weave, but this often caused you LA to actually break the cast altogether. The entire buff ZOS made to Grim Focus was unnecessary, basically, because the problem generally wasn't Grim Focus (it had different bugs they needed to address), it was that it was so obnoxiously inconsistent to weave LAs with Funnel and they could have just trimmed that animation.

We went through a lot of skills like that, and talked about the importance of consistency as well as adjustments to certain animations altogether - I'm not sure if you saw the notes last week about ZOS speeding up the travel time of Cliff Racer for Wardens, but that came directly out of our conversations, since in PvP the removal of the undodgable mechanic from that skill really hurt Magdens, who no longer had a reliable spammable skill without equipping a Destro staff. Speeding the animation up made it harder to dodge without completely making it uncounterable, which should help them against stamina PvPers.

Right on, individually fixing animations would do the trick. Playing a magplar may have contributed to the issue because of jabs spam with constant weaving.
